Refund Policy

48 hours, automatic, no questions asked
For two days after you buy, you can have your money back. You do not explain yourself, you do not email anyone, and nobody decides whether your reason is good enough. You tap the button in the app and it happens.
Digital goods are often sold with no refund at all, on the reasoning that you cannot give a copy back. We think that reasoning protects the seller and nobody else. So the window is real and the process is automatic — the software issues the refund, not a support queue.
Language and book packs
Within 48 hours of purchase. Open the pack in the app and choose to refund it.
Because a pack can be unlocked on more than one device, every device holding it has to let go before the money moves. The app releases the device you are holding; if you have activated others, release it on each. When the last one lets go, the refund is issued automatically and the unlock codes stop working. If you never redeemed the purchase on any device, there is nothing to release and the refund is immediate.
When a pack is refunded, its content is removed from your devices and the pack locks. That is the trade: you get the money back, and you stop having the thing.
After 48 hours
The window closes and the purchase is final. It is a permanent, one-time purchase with no subscription, so nothing renews and nothing will charge you again. You can also close the window early — the app offers a "keep it for good" choice — which does nothing except end the refund period sooner.
Prepaid AI balance
Within 48 hours of topping up, the unspent part comes back. Credits you already spent stay spent — the AI work was done and paid for at the time. One refund per top-up.
The app shows the price of an AI action before you confirm it, and nothing spends your balance without you asking. There are no automatic or background charges.
How the money actually gets back
Paddle is the merchant of record for every Cradlespeak sale — they are the seller on your statement, and they process the refund back to the original payment method. Once the refund is issued it typically appears within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. That last stretch is out of our hands.
If something goes wrong
If the in-app refund does not work — a device you no longer own is holding a seat, the window expired because of a fault on our side, or anything else — write to support@cradlespeak.com with your device identifier (the app shows it in Settings) and what happened. Where the failure is ours, we will fix it, and the 48-hour clock will not be used as an excuse.

Your statutory rights
Nothing here reduces the rights you have by law where you live, including consumer cancellation rights in the UK and the European Union. If your local law gives you more than this policy does, you get the more generous of the two.
